		<description><![CDATA[It helps to understand Patrick Holford when you realise that much of his ION philosophy of &#039;optimum nutrition&#039; and the Food For the Brain approach is a British re-branding, under his direction, of the American concept of &#039;Orthomolecular Medicine&#039;. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The key principle of OM is: &quot;the practice of preventing and treating disease by providing the body with optimal amounts of substances which are natural to the body&quot;.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;According to Quackwatch, OM is an &quot;Approach to therapy whose centerpiece is megavitamin therapy.
