Changing an old press release to make it fit with today’s version of events! George Orwell would be proud of Durham’s Ministry of Truth.

From this distance, 100km north of the Adriatic, it does seem as if the poor parents of Durham have had the wool comprehensively pulled over their eyes by a bunch of arrogant, grasping bureaucrats and business people.
I really do hope a few savvy parents demand an explanation as to why their children, indeed why the parents themselves, were used in this way. And they shouldn’t stop until they get their pound of flesh.
Why is it that British schools seem to provide such fertile ground for quackery and quick-fix scams?

Is it not surprising that Madeleine Portwood did not point out that “trial” has a specific scientific meaning? I assume that as she is an Educational Psychologist she is aware of that meaning.

It is surprising that she did not correct the misconception that resulted.
