Hm – like you, we have read the review, and formed the view that it is a robust piece of work with some interesting findings.

If another group of people, presumably informed people with some understanding of the statistical methods involved, has read the report and can give specific examples of what they find amiss, then that is grounds for discussion.

At the moment, tbh, it is tricky to have a, “The authors said this”, “No, they didn’t. Or, point to the page” exchange as that is not a discussion or debate.
